Cold Winters Need Warm Hearts!                                                                

This winter is sure to be a time of increased suffering for many people in Southwestern Michigan. Why is providing Energy Assistance so Important? In August of 2023 alone, 621,988 Michigan households were 31+ days past due on utility bills, 36% of these are low-income or households/seniors. The Home Heating Assistance Program provides emergency heating assistance, to anyone in the nine counties of the Diocese of Kalamazoo. Last season the program aided 272 households, keeping them warm through the cold winter.
